Right On Heliotrope!

Stoney Spring’s 2013 debut album, Right On Heliotrope! comes out swinging from the first notes of “New Blood,” keeps throwing haymakers through “Jobs” (an acid takedown of the Apple founder, and those who worship at this altar), and “Class of ’75,” a tear-jerking tragedy about unrequited high school love and overdose, before finally coming to rest with the beautiful title track that is simultaneously about the life of a flower, and driving through downtown Los Angeles.

Don’t Let Me Die At Coco’s

The much anticipated follow-up to "Right On Heliotrope!" finds Stoney Spring continuing to forge ahead lyrically and musically. Here's what No Depression had to say about it: “Don't Let Me Die At Coco's simply defies everyday descriptions. It's rare to find such well-established musicians daring to defy the norm, but with Stoney Spring, they've done just that, and the results are as creative as they are compelling." The title song, belted out beautifully by Marc Doten, is worth the price of admission.

The Natural Sweetness of Cream

Perhaps the most accessible of the Stoney Spring catalog, The Natural Sweetness of Cream overflows with catchy, melodic goodness spiked with lyrics that will shake you out of your stupor. Be sure to check out “I Think I Am A Rasta,” “Chasing an Abstract Dream,” “Revisiting The Past,” and the instrumental blues romp, “Class of ’72.”

My Mind Is Flowering Now

Released like a wayward child into the Great Void (the summer of 2020) My Mind Is Flowering Now manages to speak to the chaotic moment while pushing the envelope musically. The result is a joyful blast of punk energy and psychedelic wanderings centered thematically around the song “Nature’s Turning You Into A Machine.”
